Ingredients

  • 4 cups corn kernels, fresh, frozen, or canned and drained
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp salt, plus more to taste
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese optional
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped for serving

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Wooden spoon

Method

  1. Melt butter in a skillet and cook corn for 5 minutes until lightly golden.
  2. Stir in honey, cream, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Simmer for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring frequently, until the sauce thickens.
  4. Stir in Parmesan if using, then adjust salt to taste.
  5. Top with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Drain canned corn thoroughly before using.
  • Let corn brown lightly in butter before adding honey and cream.
  • Stir frequently to prevent the honey from scorching.
  • Reheat gently on the stovetop rather than the microwave.
