Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs, sliced into strips
  • 2 bell peppers, sliced thin
  • 1 medium yellow onion, sliced thin
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • flour or corn tortillas for serving
  • toppings of choice sour cream, salsa, guacamole, cilantro

Method
 

  1. Toss the chicken, peppers, and onion with oil and all spices.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F for 3 minutes.
  3. Cook for 10 minutes, then shake the basket and cook 5 to 7 more minutes.
  4. Squeeze lime juice over the filling and serve in warm tortillas.

Notes

  • Do not overcrowd the basket for best charring.
  • Chicken thighs stay juicier than breasts at high heat.
  • Pat chicken dry before seasoning for better browning.
  • Reheat leftovers in the air fryer at 375°F for 3 to 4 minutes.
